Weatherization Assistance

• The Urban League Weatherization Program assists low-income families in reducing their utility bills by making their homes more energy efficient.

• In 2006, the program provided weatherization services to over 375 homes, paying licensed contractors to address measures that will improve energy efficiency in the home.

• The Urban League’s Weatherization program provides these services to St. Louis City residents only.

• This program conducts an annual Weatherization Day in October educating City residents with energy-saving tips and distributing weatherization kits to participants.

• Key partners in this Weatherization program include the Department of Natural Resources, Ameren UE and Laclede Gas.
