Housing Counseling

• The Housing Counseling Program offers advice, information and assistance to clients interested in pre- and post-purchase counseling and homeownership training for St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Clair County residents.

• Our HUD certified housing Counselors help clients:

  • Understand the home–buying process;

  • Find solutions to being behind on mortgage or rent;

  • Work with lenders to save homes from foreclosure or landlords to prevent eviction; and
  • Understand their options.

• The Housing Counseling Program promotes fair housing practices and also includes training and instruction to make consumers aware of common predatory lending practices and how to avoid them.

• The Housing Counseling Program is approved by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and offers comprehensive housing counseling and education.
