Homebuyer Education Training
The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis provides
homebuyer education and training. For residents looking to purchase in
St. Louis County, the Urban League, through a partnership with St. Louis
County Department of Planning, provides down payment assistance up to
$3,000, if eligible. Residents must complete 8 hours of homebuyer
education training and housing counseling as a prerequisite. The Urban
League partners with several reputable lenders, realtors, insurers, home
inspectors and foreclosure prevention counselors to help potential
homeowners not only purchase their first home but remain in their home.
The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is a Gold Star Homeownership
Center, recognized by the National Urban League.
*All participants must first attend a 45 minute
orientation. During orientation, homeowners will receive an
overview of the program and requirements.
