Financial Literacy Training

  • The Financial Literacy Training program is designed to teach participants how to make smart money management decisions.

  • Participants in the program learn how to:

    • Manage household budgets;
    • Do basic checking and saving account management;
    • Understand credit report;
    • Improve negative credit ratings; and
    • Recognize the signs of predatory lending.
  • The Urban League also offers Youth Empowerment Summer (YES) camp to youth ages 12 to 18 to help prevent young people from making poor financial decisions that can take years to overcome.
