YOU can make a DIFFERENCE
in YOUR neighborhood.
-
The Federation of Block Units is a grassroots, volunteer
organization focused on helping St. Louis residents improve their
neighborhoods and the quality of life for families and residents.
-
Founded in 1932, the Federation is one of the largest
self-help organizations in the United States.
-
The Federation Board of Directors serves as the collective voice
of the Federation of Block Units.
-
Individual Block Units operate as cooperative, self-help
organizations.
-
The Block Units work to improve neighborhoods, educate residents
on their responsibilities, encourage teamwork, use all available
resources and enhance cooperation among citizens, government,
voluntary organizations and other stakeholders.
Each year,
the Block Units sponsor the Ebony Fashion Fair to help raise money
for college scholarships.
