• The Urban League understands the importance of employment to a community.

• The Urban League’s Employment Department is skilled at working with clients seeking both entry and executive level positions.

• Key components of the Employment Program include: developing positive interviewing skills, resume preparation and job search assistance.

• The Employment Program also offers:

  • career counseling;
  • job readiness training;
  • job referrals;
  • job development;
  • job placement;
  • case management; and
  • post-placement follow-up.

• In 2006, direct employment services were provided for nearly 2,500 job-seeking clients.
